“I started doing Pilates with Merri about 3 months ago. Merri planned each exercise to enable me to explore a new, less painful way of working my body after a spinal fusion. She is always thinking about the mechanics of my specific body, and when necessary, is able to creatively adapt any exercise to meet my ability. I have noticed an increase in core strength and dramatic decrease in back pain. “6 Months ago I started doing Pilates sessions with Merri, along with my daily workouts of strength training and running and I’m so glad I did. Although I’m a very active person I have struggled with some exercises and maintaining core stability and range of motion since having a lumbar fusion and shoulder surgery a few years ago. Merri is a pro, always challenging me while also making modifications to exercises that ensure I don’t aggravate any old injuries. Since working with Merri I have increased my range of motion and core stability. I feel Pilates is a must for any wholistic athlete or even a beginner to fitness.
